9 am: Yoga, Pilates or gentle stretching – your choice
10 am: Guided meditation
10:15 am:  Group check in. Each person introduces themselves and says something about what brought them to Soul Spa.
10:45:  Mary Armstrong will teach you to “think” with your body in her introduction to Focusing. You’ll practice effective listening skills, learning to listen to others and to yourself! (You can’t know what you want for yourself unless you listen to your authentic self.)
11:15  am: Dyads – work in pairs or small groups to practice what you’ve learned.
12:00 noon: Large group discussion. A chance to talk about your ideas and concerns

1:30 pm:Walking meditation

 
2.00 pm: FACING THE FACTS:  Judy Steed  talks about her year-long research for the Atkinson Fellowship, studying aging and the astounding breakthroughs in brain research.
2:30 pm: Mary Armstrong presents Soul Spa’s Eight Practices for the Healthy Brain.
3:00 pm: Large group discussion – focus on constructing a daily plan and a long-term plan. Identify your challenges & needs.
3:30 pm: break, snack


4:00 pm:
Dyads – work in pairs to develop a daily plan that works for you.
4:30 pm: Large group discussion: Share our plans. Inspire each other.
5:00 pm: Group closing, guided meditation
Discuss creating on-going support group with plan for first meeting.
